Palm Sunday the Beginning of Holy Week!

Hello everyone!

Today’s Palm Sunday which marks the beginning of Holy Week. I pray that everybody is well, healed and whole by the blood of the Lamb Jesus!

Today’s project was created using the Hold onto Hope stamp set representation of the resurrection of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The background for today’s card is a sponging technique using the sponge Brayers also some simple stamping, as well as an easy fun fold easel card.

The card base is Whisper White card stock measuring 11 x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2 “ , You would also need an additional score at the 2 3/4″ this will create the base for the front of the easel. There are (2) layers of Gorgeous Grape card stock measuring 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″, Whisper White card stock measuring 5″ x 4”, you also need scrap pieces of Whisper White one to make the square for the sentiment another one to make a rectangle for the inside portion of the card. A piece of Gold foil paper to die cut the cross.

I first die cut a solid cross with a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock gently adhered it using snail to the center of your Whisper White card stock. Now take a sponge brayer Highland Heather and Mango Melody ink And sponge over the entire piece, Mango Melody at the top using Highland Heather at the bottom. Then gently remove your cross from the center to leave a shadow. Now using the floral image from Hold onto Hope stamp set with Gorgeous Grape ink stamp the floral in images randomly across the bottom and gently up each side.

Then using the detail design cross die cut your Gold Foil cross, apply glue to the back, glue it to the card front gently forward to the right of the shadow image of the cross. Now glue this layer onto your Highland Heather card stock layer, then glue these layers onto your Gorgeous Grape layer, now apply glue to the front lower panel of your card, glue down the layers onto this to create your card front.

Noe for the inside of the card, glue down your Gorgeous Grape card stock piece, then I die cut a Stitched Rectangle Shape out of Whisper White card stock to applied to the upper portion of the inside of the card. I then stamped the sentiment using Gorgeous Grape ink, die cut this out using the Stitch Shaped Dies, apply dimensionals to the back then adhered to the inside bottom portion of the card this becomes the stop to create your easel.

I added a few Gingham Gala adhesive-backed sequins to the front of the card for a little detail. Your card is complete I hope you have enjoyed!
