I hope everyone is safe and well. It has certainly been an adventure for me I’ve now moved back to Central Florida, and just got in some much needed stamp therapy.
I absolutely love the Positive Thoughts Stamp set a slightly vintage vibe beautiful sentiment with lovely images. A friend is having surgery wanted to create a card to express support and I believe this card says it all hugs prayers and love.
Card Base: Pretty Peacock card stock measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″. In color DesignerSseries Paper 2019-2021 in Rococo Rose measuring 5 1/4″ x 4 1/8″. Very Vanilla card stock measuring 5″ x 4″. Scrap pieces are Very Vanilla card stock enough to stamp images and sentiment as well as scrap piece of Vellum to stamp butterfly.
Using your paper snips rough up the edges of the Designer Series Paper and I then folded over the top left-hand corner. Now on your piece of Very Vanilla card stock, I used the fern like image and Crumb cake ink stamping off once, stamping down the left side, then using full strength stamped over in a few various places down the left side over the previously stamped images to add slight depth.
On scrap pieces are Very Vanilla I stamp the sentiment “Hugs Prayers love” using Memento ink. I then punched out the sentiment using the Pretty Label punch. Now using the feather image and Rococo Rose ink I stamped over the top of the sentiment.
On an additional scrap piece a Very Vanilla card stock using Pretty Peacock ink stamp the flower image, I stamped four times, you can cut out these floral images if you had purchased the coordinating dies or simply fuzzy cut them using your paper snips.
Now using Momento ink I stamped the Butterfly image onto a scrap piece of Vellum then cut your butterfly image out with paper snips or coordinating dies. Using the feather image once again and Rococo Rose ink I stamped to the right-hand side of the Very Vanilla layer, I then glued the sentiment slightly over the stamped feather images to the right-hand side of the Very Vanilla layer. I then layered the cut out flowers together to add some depth using glue dots and position them on the Very Vanilla layer to the left-hand side of the sentiment, then placed the butterfly using a glue dot in between the flowers. I have now attached a piece of ribbon and a bow, this ribbon is from the new Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack. Now for finishing touch, I added a few of the gilded gems that are opaque gold gems from the Ornate Garden Suite.
Glue your Very Vanilla layer onto your Designer Series Paper then glue all your layers onto your card base. I did use an additional piece a Very Vanilla card stock measuring 5 1/2″ x 4 1/8″ stamped a few flowers using Rococo Rose ink and stamped the sentiment “Sending Positive Thoughts and Feel Good Wishes” using Pretty Peacock Ink.
Your card is now complete I hope you have enjoyed, thank you for stopping by!
