Pinwheel Card Created with the Bird Ballad Suite!

Hello, My Friends!

Today’s card was so fun to create I had a dear friend Miss Betty request that I create a pinwheel Card, well I’ve never even seen a pinwheel card never mind knew how to create it so after a little  time searching the Internet I found out it’s actually quite simple and fun, love the effect I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of these from me in the future. To create today’s court are use the Bird Ballard Suite a slightly vintage feel.

The card base is Whisper Weight measuring 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. The next layer is Crumb Cake cardstock measuring 5 1/4″ x 4″.

You will need two squares measuring 2 5/8″, Eight squares measuring 1 1/4 “( for the two Lg squares are used to Whisper White for the smaller eight squares are used the Bird Ballard Designer Series Paper.

I lined up the Whisper White square tip to tip using the dark cross-section of our grid paper, then I took the second and lined it up evenly with the dotted lines to create a diamond shape only putting adhesive in the center of the square.

Now attach your first square of designer series paper leaving a small edge, only adhered adhesive to the center of your square and each square after.

I used the same piece of designer series paper to cut out the squares I just use the reverse side so now take the second patterned square and lining up with the next corner leaving a slight edge.

Complete this process all the way around until you get to the last one when you have the last square you will have to put one in under one and over.

Now your pinwheel is complete, the edges of the squares do you not have glue on them at this time you could add additional glue to make sure all the squares are attached securely.

Using a scrap piece of Whisper White cut the second smallest Stitched Nested Label, I stamped the sentiment “hello” from the Free Bird Stamp Set on the upper right-hand section of the label. I then stamped one large Flower and two small Flowers using Petal Pink ink stamped one leaf image using Granny Apple Green ink then colored in the images gently using the light Petal Pink and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin Blends. Then using your paper snips cut out your flowers and leaf image.

I then broke the paper a bit to give the flower in the leaf a bit of texture, adhered it to the center of the pinwheel using glue dots, then added a Pearl to the center of the flower. I attached the label to the back of the Pinwheel about halfway then attach the two small flowers to the bottom right side of the label. Then using the Bird Ballard Trinket (I choose the key) and some Linen Twine I attached the key with a little bow to the right side.

I know attached the Scalloped Lace Trim horizontally to the top and bottom of the Crumb Cake Cardstock. I now attached the pinwheel and the sentiment using dimensionals onto the Crumb Cake Card Stock. Add a few Pearl Basic Jewels for some bling.

Attach all your layers down to the card base now your card is complete! How fun is this depending on the paper you choose you could give each card such an individual look.

Let’s celebrate you!!

Hello, my friends!

Well, I needed a few birthday cards for birthdays coming up so I created this one using the Bloom & Grow Bundle from the new annual catalog I love flowers this set is fresh and clean as well as offering a wonderful variety with great coordinating Dies, therefore, the possibilities are quite endless. I also love the sentiments in this set with some fun font.

Using a scrap piece of Whisper White I stamped one of the Floral Stamps using Daffodil Delight ink, then using the coThe card base is a whisper white measuring 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, the next layer is Bermuda Bay measuring 5 1/4″ x 4″, the top layer is a piece of Whisper White measuring 5″ x 3 7/8″.ordinating dies I die cut it out. Now on an additional scrap piece of Whisper White, I stamped the sentiment “let’s celebrate you“using Memento ink, using the Stitched Rectangle Dies I then cut the sentiment.

Now on your Whisper White piece measuring 5″ x 3 7/8″ and opposing corners using Momento ink I stamped a Floral image, using Stampin blend markers I colored in the Flower images.

Assembly: I cut the Daffodil Delight Flower image in half then attached to the back of the sentiment, added dimensionals to the back of the sentiment attached over the center of the Whisper White piece with the Flower stamped on the opposing ends. Now glue this layer onto your Bermuda Bay layer then attach all the layers onto your card base. I now added a Mint Macaron Natures Twine bow to the right-hand corner and a few Basic Rhinestones for some added bling.

I do hope you have enjoyed today’s project may it inspire you and let your creativity flow!

Birthdays are the Best Days!

Hello, my friends, I hope you are all well!

Today’s card was created using the designer series Paper Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Beautiful Friendship stamp set. This card is a quick simple easy card to create not a pretty awesome wow factor.

The card base is Rococo Rose 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, next layer Very Vanilla measuring 5 1/4″ x 4, The piece of designer series paper measures 5″ x 3 7/8″.

Using the largest of the Stitched Shaped Dies I cut out the center of this floral wreath image stamped the sentiment “BIRTHDAYS ARE THE BEST DAYS” from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set into the center of the oval. Then using the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape I created a flower ( created this flower using the half inch punch and a scrap piece of card stock attached the pedals to form a flower)

Using your Rococo Rose ink. and a sponge dauber  I sponge the edge of the Very Vanilla card stock, now Attach a piece of designer series paper using glue ,then across the center add a piece of the Rococo Rose Gathered Ribbon as well as the Scalloped Lace Trim to create some interest ,I then doubled the dimensionals on the back of the oval sentiment and attached it to the center of the designer series paper. Then add the flower to the right-hand side of the card added a lovely velveteen center to the flower using the Perennial Essence Floral Centers.

I do hope you have enjoyed today’s project!

Happy Birthday, AMERICA!! Happy Fourth of July Everyone!!

Hello, my friends, I hope you are all well!

Today’s card is in celebration of Fourth of July it includes a couple different techniques including water coloring using an aqua painter heat embossing with White embossing powder Die cutting and the use of Vellum. I created today’s card with the Dandelion Wishes stamp set as well as the Well Written Dies.

The card base is Night of Navy measuring 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, the next layer is a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 5 1/4″ x 4″, the top layer is a piece of Watercolor Paper measuring 5″ x 3 3/4

Use the piece of Watercolor Paper and creative background with your Aqua Painter Real Red and Night of Navy ink I created the color background on an angle to give it some added interest. Now, this layer needs to dry you could use your heat tool to dry quickly or lay it flat with a large acrylic block or something heavy on top.

Once your watercolored background is dry use the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set and Versamark ink to stamp your images across your watercolored background, with White embossing powder and your heat tool emboss your images.

Now I created the Vellum piece using in the Stitched Nested it Dies third from the smallest and cut out the Vellum label. Using three small scrap pieces of Real Red Whisper White and Night of Navy and the Well Written Dies, I die cut the word “hooray” in the three different colors. Apply a  small amount of glue and attached to your vellum label left to right with a step-down effect.

Assembly:

Place two glue dots on the opposing ends Of your Vellum label attached to your watercolored embossed background, I then attached to Clear Faceted Gems over the glue dots so they would not be seen. ( Since Vellum is see through you have to be careful not to see the glue you are adhering it with)  Now I took a piece of Real Red Cotton Ribbon attached it to the bottom and added some White Bakers Twine and a little bow. Glue down this layer to your Whisper White layer then attach to your card base.

Your card is now completed patriotic themed for Fourth of July I hope you enjoyed this project and I hope I have inspired you!

Beautiful Coordinating Gift Bag!

Hello, My Friends!

Today’s project was created using the Bird Ballard Designer Series Paper. This beautiful paper is just perfect for using on alternative projects such as this beautiful gift bag. I created it as a little gift bag to coordinate with a Bird Ballard card, perfect coordination just love it!

You will need one 12 x 12 piece of Bird Ballard Designer Series Paper. There are no true measurements This gift bag is very simple and quick to make.

Decide which side of the designer series paper you want to be on the outside then fold about 1 inch down along the top portion I then varnished using a bone folder.

And now take the edges of your paper overlapping them and adhere together with some glue, creating a cylinder shape.

Now fold up the bottom portion roughly 3 inches varnishing the edge.

The next step is to fold in the left and right side towards the center.

Now you will take the top and the bottom points and fold them up towards the center line, again varnishing your edge using your bone folder.

Now you will create seams for each side of your bag folding in the side to the center approximately 1 inch and then varnish your edges.

Now when you unfold them and open them up you will have formed the bottom and the sides of your gift bag.

Then using Stitched Nested Label and Whisper White cardstock cut a label the width of the bag.  Now using the Bird Ballard Suite stamp the bird image sitting on the branch using Memento ink, color using Stampin’ Blends Markers,  cut image using paper snips. I then attached the bird image to the label using dimensionals.

I added a Linen Thread Bow and a key from the Bird Ballard trinkets. Attached to the front of the gift bag I then made two handles using the Whisper White Flax Ribbon adhere down using tear and tape to the inside edging of the bag.

A pretty quick and simple project you can also re-create this with a couple different versions you could use a 6 x 6 piece of card stock or designer series paper or attached two pieces together to create a larger gift bag all using the same principle. I used the gift bag and placed a body spray and hand lotion which fits perfectly in the bag.

I hope you have enjoyed!
